ASAP! Youth Ensemble Concert 2024

Rumsey students immersed themselves in the dynamic realm of music as they joined the esteemed ranks of the ASAP! Youth Ensemble. Within this musical community of young talents hailing from northwest CT, students undergo a transformative journey, honing their orchestral prowess, delving into creative composition, and preparing for amazing performances. Guided by the expertise of teaching artists James and Krystyana Czeiner, distinguished Juilliard alumni and Grammy recipients, students are empowered to explore and expand their musical horizons.

Through innovative approaches such as aleatoric methods and electronic composition, participants deepen their appreciation for orchestral works while crafting their own unique pieces. The initiative fosters teamwork from the outset with a collaborative large-scale painting activity, forging bonds through collective creativity. This artwork not only symbolizes their shared journey but also serves as a captivating backdrop for the culminating Youth Ensemble Concert, showcasing the students' musical prowess and collective spirit.
